Corporate Social Responsibility
PT Puradelta Lestari Tbk. (the “Company”) always prioritizes efforts to maintain a balance between its business interests and its social and environmental responsibilities. This is based on the belief that the Company’s long-term sustainability is highly dependent on the creation of harmonious relationships with all stakeholders.
Social and Community Development
Social and community development in Kota Deltamas is implemented through coordination with the social responsibility activities of Bekasi Regency. This aims to increase synergy with the Government Social Responsibility Program so as to maximize its impact on the community. In the field of social development, the Company is involved in public infrastructure renovation and rehabilitation activities. Emergency response assistance was also provided for victims of fires that occurred around the Puradelta Lestari area. The Company also provides social support for the surrounding community. In the field of public health, Puradelta Lestari is actively involved in providing free health services, building clean water infrastructure, and assisting the development of environmental health. Clean water supply is also provided to the surrounding community during the dry season. In the field of education, the Company helps renovate elementary school buildings in Hegarmukti and Sukamahi, Central Cikarang, and provides scholarships for children from underprivileged families and training programs to improve the skills of the trainees.
Environmental Management
Sustainable environmental management is an important part of the Company’s business priorities. Details to achieve environmental sustainability are part of the development of the area, as a reflection of the Company’s commitment to environmental protection. In addition, Kota Deltamas industrial area is selective in accepting factories that operate considering environmental impacts. To support the Go Green commitment, the Company allocates some land for nursery needs, where plants are developed to a certain size, for the development of Kota Deltamas green area. The Company operates a wastewater treatment facility to convert wastewater into water that is safe for the environment, in accordance with Environmental Quality Standards (EQS). A new wastewater treatment facility is currently under construction to meet the growing number of industrial customers.
Employment Practices, Occupational Safety and Health
The Company realizes that human resources are an important part of its business development. Therefore, the Company is committed to continuously manage its human resources, with a focus on quality improvement. Each individual employee has the same opportunity to develop his/her career. The Company is also committed to fulfill employee rights in the form of job security, fair wages and compensation, social protection, and a comfortable working environment. The Company is committed to prioritizing the safety and health of all employees. The Company strives to reduce the occurrence of work accidents. This is carried out through identification of accident sources, risk evaluation and management, work plans to eliminate accidents, workplace evaluation, and regular evaluation of work programs.
Product Responsibility
The sustainability of the Company’s business is closely related to its success in ensuring the quality of its products. For this reason, Puradelta Lestari has established a Customer Relations unit, which is tasked with following up and resolving customer complaints. The Company has also established an area management team that carries out routine maintenance and repair work for the convenience of all customers. The Company also ensures the security of the Kota Deltamas area with security personnel spread throughout the Kota Deltamas area and a fire department that is on standby to prevent fire disasters in the Kota Deltamas area.
